The Mixtape Messiah Is Back

Houston based emcee, Chamillionaire has announced that his upcoming mixtape "Mixtape Messiah 5" will be released on November 23rd. The series often has fans up until all hours of the night counting down the minutes until each release. Anticipation of this mixtape is expected to be at all time high. Chamillionaire is using this mixtape as a means of building hype for his upcoming album "Venom". The album will be Chamillionaire's third album and a release date is still pending.

Crooked I Drops "Block Obama II"

Last week, the West Coast veteran Crooked I dropped his highly anticipated "Block Obama II" digital EP. The EP is a collection of unreleased songs and left-overs from his upcoming debut project "B.O.S.S. (Beginning of Something Serious)", which in some circles is the most anticipated album of the last decade. Crooked I delivers quality material on this project with songs produced by in-house producers such as Komplex and Jim Gittum. On the Jim Gittum produced track "American Me" Crooked analyzes the current political and social organization of the United States in a tell all journey through rhyme. Additionally, Crooked I linked up with the Bay Area's Rick Rock for the would-be single "On My Mama I'm A Boss". Notable appearances on the project include Knoc-Turnal on the awkward, but hypnotizing "3 Bitches" and hook singer Kobe on the epic "Circle Gang Anthem". Additionally, the nine track release includes two new versions of Crooked I's official single "Dream Big" which features Akon. Konvict Music producer Detail stepped back into the lab to finalize the track with an uptempo spin. Komplex also took it upon himself to create a re-imagining of the song giving it more street appeal. Crooked I fans and new listeners alike should not be disappointed in this epic release and should look forward to "B.O.S.S." coming soon.
